Salida is a travel planning tool for people who like having a plan but do not want that plan to become another chore. It keeps your itinerary, packing list, weather forecast, and trip expenses in one place so everything stays easy to read and adjust.
Most trip planning ends up scattered. The itinerary is in one app, the packing list is in another, group costs are in a spreadsheet, and the weather is in a separate tab. Salida puts those pieces together so you are not switching between tools before and during a trip.
The free plan includes day planning in list, timeline, calendar, and overview views, a 10-day weather forecast for your destination, a packing checklist, and an expense log. The Plus plan adds AI itinerary generation, active weather alerts, and AI Plan B suggestions when the forecast changes.
Weather is part of the planning, not a separate thing to check. If rain is forecast for Day 3, Salida shows it right next to your activities for that day. Plus users can generate a backup plan without leaving the app.
Who built it
Salida was built by the Salida Team: one software engineer with a computer science degree from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, who started their career in Massachusetts and now lives in San Diego.
The name is personal. Growing up in Puerto Rico, salida meant more than a word in a dictionary. It meant departure, the moment you leave somewhere familiar and go somewhere new. That feeling is what this product is trying to serve.
There are no investors and no outside pressure driving what gets built. Features get added when they make trips genuinely easier to plan and navigate.
